The entire trek takes approximately 5 to 6 hours to complete so it is advisable to start the journey as
early as possible.
The best time to climb Knuckles is from February to September.

Visit The Temple Of The Scared Tooth Relic
The tooth, which was originally buried in several temples around the island, was brought to Ceylon in
the 4th century.
The golden casket is encrusted with seven precious stones and is mounted on an elephant in the annual
procession.
Due to the absence of a king during the British rule, the guardianship of Dalada was entrusted to
Buddhist monks.
Religious services, poojas, are held daily at dawn, midday and in the evening and can be viewed by
visitors. The services are accompanied with traditional music and drumming.
The entire temple complex is built in upland classical architecture.
The interior of the temple is decorated with exquisite and amazing paintings.
